The Department of Zoology, NSS Unit and IQAC Moran College have celebrated World Sparrow Day on 20th March, 2023 in Moran College Campus. This year's theme for World Sparrow Day is 'I love sparrows'. The host college takes special initiatives this year to raise awareness about the conservation of sparrows and bring them back to our ecosystem again. The initiatives taken are: 1. Installation of artificial bird feeders in the college campus 2. Distribution of sparrow conservation brochures to various stakeholders of the college 3. Awareness talk in the nearby schools 4. An exhibition of sparrow painting to mark this year's theme Guest talk by a renowned artist Mr. Devabrat Mahanta to sensitise students towards sparrow conservation.
